    A heel spur has been causing me suffering for many months; with custom insoles sold by a podiatrist, along with one shockwave therapy session per week for two months, I still had this disabling pain; so it costs nothing (or almost nothing) to try an over-the-counter insole; I select New Balance; order processed quickly and fast delivery; I slip them into my shoes; and really I notice the difference almost immediately; after a week the pain has greatly decreased, I no longer believed it was possible; I just ordered a second pair in slim for my light summer shoes;
    I highly recommend the product

New Equilibre Insoles
for heel spurs, plantar aponeurosis, and plantar fasciitis.

New Equilibre insoles have a preventive role in the appearance of these pathologies, and a curative role in providing relief when pathologies are established:

  • Ground shock absorption at the heel
  • Stabilization of the hindfoot thanks to the heel ring during the foot's taligrade phase
  • Support for the external and internal arches of the foot during the plantigrade phase, preventing parasitic movements,
  • Optimization of stride progression during the digitigrade phase, promoting good concentric work of the Achilles-plantar system.

Understanding Heel Spurs and Plantar Fasciitis.
Explanations from our New Equilibre experts.

Calcaneal spur is a strong calcification of the tendon that inserts the plantar fascia onto the calcaneus. It is possible to have uncalcified tendinitis of the aponeurosis, without the presence of a calcaneal spur, or calcified, with the presence of a calcaneal spur.

The pain associated with this pathology is of a muscular order, and the most appropriate term to define it is Plantar aponeurosis of insertion. The plantar aponeurosis is a very thick tissue, following on from the Achilles tendon, and is referred to as the plantar achilles system. This system enables the foot to propel itself, and it is thanks to its contraction (concentric work) that the foot can leave the ground.

If your foot doesn't move in the right back-to-front axis, and has an abnormal outward varus or inward valgus bearing, this creates eccentric work in the plantar fascia, which holds back the wrong axis of movement. It is this eccentric work that is the cause of inflammation of the plantar aponeurosis (plantar aponeurosis), whether calcified or non-calcified given the presence or absence of a calcaneal spur.

Frequently Asked Questions about Heel Spur Insoles

The heel spur is a bone outgrowth that is painless in itself. The pain comes from the inflammation of the plantar fascia, the ligament located under the foot that connects the toes to the heel. We therefore speak of’Plantar fasciitis (or plantar fasciitis). Our New Equilibre Heel Spur Insoles address the mechanical cause: their thermoformed resin base, combined with a reinforced heel ring and pronation control, properly supports the arch of the foot to relieve pressure on the plantar fascia and stop tension on the heel. At the same time, the Noene® heel insert, combined with various comfort materials, absorbs up to 92% of shock waves with every step, providing essential shock absorption to eliminate sharp pain, especially during those first steps in the morning.

Classic gel heel cups only provide soft cushioning under the heel, which is insufficient and often counterproductive. The gel creates instability and does not address arch tension. Our insoles offer comprehensive support: a semi-rigid thermoformed resin skeleton that realigns the foot and rebalances collapse (pronation), combined with a premium EVA foam covering and Noene® material. This way, you target the cause of the inflammation (tension) and not just the symptom (heel impact).

No, this model is exclusively developed for a daily use, walking and standing at work (safety shoes, dress shoes, or sneakers). Inflammation related to a heel spur first requires rest and targeted offloading during your daily commutes. For athletic activities, the stress and impacts are much more violent: it is then essential to turn to our SPORT Range (Running, Multisport, Tennis...), specially designed to protect your plantar fascia during intense exertion.

Absolutely. This model was developed in close collaboration with the podiatrists and orthopedists of Forlini Orthopedics Cabinet, drawing on 35 years of expertise in lower limb traumatology. This synergy ensures that the calcaneal offloading zones and anatomical supports of our insoles scrupulously respect the comfort requirements of sensitive feet. They represent the best off-the-shelf technical alternative before considering the prescription of custom-made orthotics.

To relieve heel spur pain, the offloading zone and arch support must be positioned to the nearest centimeter under the anatomy of your foot. Cut-to-fit insoles displace these comfort elements, which can increase discomfort. Our insoles are individually molded and thermoformed size by size. Each shoe size has its own geometry to ensure that the shock-absorbing insert is located exactly under your heel. Simply select your usual size or refer to our size guide.

Our insoles are available in two versions to fit the majority of your closed shoes:
The Comfort version: ideal for shoes with a high-volume fit such as trainers, sneakers, walking shoes or safety shoes.
The Slim version: specially designed for slimmer dress shoes with low shoe volume.
Simply remove the original removable insole from your shoe and replace it with the New Equilibre insole. The architecture of our insoles helps stabilize the foot and provides excellent support without squeezing your toes.

To maintain the mechanical properties of the thermoformed resin and technical materials, washing and drying machines are strictly prohibited (heat will deform the structure). Clean your insoles by hand with lukewarm water and mild soap. Let them air dry, away from any direct heat source (radiator).

Thanks to their high-quality materials, they last an average of 12 months, depending on your frequency of outings, the intensity, and your weight.
It is advisable to replace your insoles on average once a year, when the feelings of comfort or support decrease, or when signs of wear appear.
