Design of New Equilibre insoles :
Hallux valgus, or metatarsophalangeal osteoarthritis of the 1st ray, results from a deviation between the 1st metatarsal (M1) internally, and the first phalanx of the big toe (P1) externally, causing M1P1 osteoarthritis (cartilage wear). This M1P1 deformity is the consequence of the collapse of the anterior arch of the foot, which can lead to subluxation of the medial toes.
The anterior arch of the foot (metatarsal pallet) is normally concave (hollow downwards), with the 3rd metatarsal as its apex. Each metatarsal then articulates with its toe, each composed of three phalanges (P1P2P3). When this anterior arch collapses, becoming flat or even convex (hollow upwards), the first P1 phalanges of the medial toes subluxate onto the respective medial metatarsals (subluxation M2P2, M3P3...). It is this collapse of the anterior arch of the foot, and the resulting disruption of the whole front of the foot, that favours the appearance of hallux valgus.
Thanks to their retrocapital support, New Equilibre insoles prevent the anterior arch of the foot from collapsing, thus relieving pain in the 1st ray and halting the development of big toe deformity. Of course, in addition to this, the forefoot must not be overloaded, and shoes with a maximum heel height of 2.5 cm must be worn.

Plus de douleurs, je recommande
J’ai essayé toutes sortes de semelles et coussinets pour soulager mon hallux valgus, mais celles-ci sont de loin les meilleures. Elles sont discrètes et apportent un vrai soulagement tout au long de la journée.
Enfin des semelles qui prennent en compte le problème de l’hallux valgus. Je recommande.
Je porte ces semelles depuis un mois, et le changement est énorme ! Mon hallux valgus me faisait souffrir même en restant assise, mais maintenant, c’est beaucoup plus supportable. Elles valent largement leur prix.
Je ne pensais pas que des semelles pouvaient avoir un tel effet sur mon hallux valgus. C’est un vrai soulagement, surtout quand je dois marcher plusieurs heures. Le confort est au rendez-vous !
