Design of New Equilibre insoles :
The foot comprises three arches: the medial arch, the lateral arch and the anterior arch. The hollow foot is characterized by an increase, often simultaneous, in these three arches, resulting in a considerably reduced plantar support, with a support surface on the ground which, in the case of “stage 3” hollow feet, can be divided by 2.
The reduction in the weight-bearing surface of the foot therefore favours overloading of the weight-bearing zones of the hollow foot, i.e. the heel and forefoot, resulting in talalgia and metatarsalgia. The lack of plantar support is also at the root of ankle instability, and thus of knee instability. The shockwave from the ground, induced by the reduction in the foot's weight-bearing surface, can cause lumbago, back pain and neck pain.
New Equilibre insoles for Hollow Feet compensate for this lack of plantar support by distributing body weight over an optimized foot surface. In this way, they relieve or prevent the above-mentioned pathologies.
